Murmel Murmel!
As you may know, Robert Munsch has written a children's book by this title and it gets its name from a baby who makes this sound because he's talking with a soother in his mouth. Every once in a while Luke makes this sound, which is very cute.
He was making this sound yesterday trying to tell Joy something. She was in another room and couldn't understand him. "What are you saying, Luke?" He walks in the room and she pulls the soother out of his mouth. He's holding a video jacket to "Star Wars: A New Hope" and he's says, "Arwars!"

Goodbye Dear Friend
Today we lost a very good friend. Homer was put down this morning after we found out that he had kidney disease and a bad heart. He will be very much missed by all of us and saying good bye to him was very difficult although we knew it would be best for him.
Homer was born sometime in early July of 1990, we chose July 1 as his birthday. He was bought in the pet store at the Quinte Mall in Belleville fast asleep in the display window. His name was originally Omar, however, it never fit and it then evolved into Homer. This was before the hype of the Simpson show.
Although he was a cat, he had more qualities of a loyal dog by coming to us when we called for him. He enjoyed soft cat food, seafood and blueberry yogurt. He would stick his whole head into a drinking glass to be able to lick the ice cubes. He is also the reason we were never able to have plants in our house.
Although he loved to explore, it often got him in trouble by leaving the house on one to five day excursions. However, everytime he left (five or six times), he always found his way home.
He watched over the boys when they were babies and he always stayed by us when we were sick. For the past six to eight years, he always went to bed when I did and slept right beside me.
Homer, you will be missed.
