Movies That Hit Me 3

There is no particular order and once I started I've found it difficult to stop.

Saving Private Ryan - Of course. It was just so powerful. The opening scene on the beach. Although I've always thought I've had a healthy respect for those who fought in the wars for our country, it definitely increased after that movie.

The Pianist - Such a great movie. Depressing but great.

The Pursuit of Happiness - The scene where he and his son are in the bathroom of the subway station was very moving. I think about that scene a lot.

House of Sand and Fog - One of the most depressing movies I have ever scene but so good as well.

Remember the Titans - I love everything about this movie. I remember before the last game Denzel is telling the boys that they have come this far and they should be proud and if they didn't win it was o.k. Julius says that 'We're walking out on that field undefeated, and if its all the same to you coach, we want to walk off the field undefeated.' Or something like that. And the scene where the assistant coach calls out the ref.

Passion of the Christ - I remember after seeing it I didn't want to talk to anyone. I had to just digest everything I just saw. I think I like it for a lot of the same reasons I liked Saving Private Ryan. I love that they did it in aramaic as well.

Lean on Me - Morgan Freeman rocked. I loved how determined he was to turn the school around. He was a little bit like a dictator but it was so good.

The Rocket - I thought it was an excellent movie! I love how he took on that big guy that everyone thought would hurt him. I also loved how they did the movie half english and half french.

Water - An Indian made movie. On the depressing side but gave insight into life of some Indian women.

Bruce Almighty - So many great scenes in that movie. One with Bruce standing in the middle of the street screaming up to God. 'I surrender to your will.' And then when Bruce asks God how do make someone love you? And God replies, 'Welcome to free will.' Or something like that.

I think I wrote the most but its difficult because you keep thinking of all the great quotes and scenes.

Once again I see more that I wish I had added. Jenn and I talked on the phone and Water was definitely one that I'll never forget. The Passion is another. I just love movies like that. I never used to be that way. I used to hate it when a movie was depressing, sad, or without a hero winning.
